Gav Nicola Theatrical Shoes specialise in the design and manufacture of shoes and other footwear for the theatrical industry be it a shakespearean stage show, a 1940's war film or a futuristic sci-fi thriller.
Gav Nicola Started making shoes in 1977, when he graduated from Cordwainers college in London he started working for the theatrical shoe industry as a designer/pattern cutter. After working for fifteen years he decided to go it alone and started his own brand working with his wife and boys in the background.
Nick Nicola Working with his father from a very young age just eleven years old, he would come home from school and sit and watch dad at work, one day he asked to help, Gav gave him some men's leather heels to nail and to his surprise he finished the job with no problem, from that day he has been at his side learning the business from cutting leather through to fitting the customer to finishing the shoes. He is in line to take over the business one day when Gav retires (not for years).
